Thanks for the link Aaron. Also, I give another vote for Reymond over Grudem.

In relationship to Expand Your Systematic Theology Library, all three have wonderful qualities. Personally, Berkhof’s Systematic Theology was the first that I read and very formative in my first years of seminary.
I read much of Reymond’s this past semester for a class and appreciate the expositional nature of the book. Moreover, he addresses contemporary issues that were not an issue during Berkhof’s times. Even with these good points it’s a shame that he does not extensively deal with the doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
Grudem’s Systematic Theology and shorter compilation – Bible Doctrine – grace my shelves as well. These texts I’ve read less from than the other two. I’ve read many of his other works, particularly in the areas of manhood and womanhood and prophecy. Last year I even had the opportunity to meet him at a conference and talk with him for a short time. He is a very humble and engaging man.
Thanks for the extra! extra!
Just discovered your site through a bloggy friend of mine, and thought I’d pass along this website to you: http://www.songsforsaplings.com. The artist put the words of the above children’s catechism to song, and my kids have been learning them for a while now. They’re wonderful!
