Well known comedian and staunch atheist, Penn (of Penn and Teller) talks about how a man came up to him after one of his shows and gave him a Gideon Bible. Penn was clearly touched by this and goes on to say the following…

“I don’t respect people who don’t proselytize. If you believe that there’s a heaven and hell, and people could be going to hell, and you think, ‘Well, it’s not really worth telling them this because it would make it socially awkward’… How much do you have to hate somebody not to proselytize?”

This video is convicting because of my many missed opportunities to evangelize. However, my heart was encouraged as I thought about how we can be used by God to deeply impact someone who is lost. May we remember that it is our job to plant the seed, but we can rest in the knowledge that the results are in the hands of our sovereign God. 1 Corinthians 3:6-7
